A Little Bit About This Course...

This is a dynamic and evidence-based canine first aid training course for the operational working dog community.

It covers all of the content from the K9 first response course for professionals and dog owners but differs by spending additional time focussing on life threatening conditions and injuries that may be incurred in the line of duty.

A hands-on practical course, handlers will learn how to recognise, treat and stabilise the dog until it can be evacuated to professional veterinary care. The learning is built around scenario-based activities with training aids and canine CPR mannequins to provide participants with ongoing opportunities to practice and embed first aid skills.

Our Canine First Responder™ Curriculum is the only course approved by Emergency First Response, the largest certification agency worldwide for first aid and CPR training. You know you will be issued with a globally recognised certificate.

It has been developed in line with the latest RECOVER guidelines and is fully compliant with the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.
